Bright smiles can help healthy healing!
Through fundraising efforts, Mommies For Miracles, Inc. is able to provide comfort items or times of entertainment to children facing various challenges. All of this comes complete with our hope for a happy tomorrow for all of them!
Although these gestures may seem small, we feel that they are quite significant in the process of recovery for a child coping with an illness or disability. Comfort items can make all the difference in the well being of these young and fragile children.
Not for Profits Helping Other Not For Profits - Together Bringing Smiles and Sharing Hope!
Typically we hold fundraising events and use the money that we raise to purchase "wish list" items for other NFPO (hospitals PICU/NICUs, etc.) who care for children needing specialized services but do not have funding available for such items.
We choose organizations that do not have much funding or community support available to them, that is where our modest, but very humble and sincere efforts come in. We make the decision to host an event to benefit a particular organization with the hope of raising enough money to purchase their "wish list" items for them. It is our goal to assist in providing a less stressful environment for these boys and girls during a truly traumatic time in their lives. We want these kids and their families to know that we share in their hope for a happy healthy tomorrow!
We are often asked "Why donate to MFM when donors can give right to the source?" Our response to that questions is that we don't typically turn our donations over in the form of cash to an organization. Instead, we purchase and deliver the "wish list" items to ensure that our gift meets the mission. This also makes for a very warm and personal transaction.
We are thrilled to make a difference and to put a smile on the face of a child in need. We only wish that we could do it more often. Mommies For Miracles, Inc. is made up strictly of volunteers. Many of these volunteers have full time jobs and family obligations, but they do what they can and just pray that it helps! If you would like to volunteer your time, please contact us today.
